Minehead sea front 'recycled'
By
November most of the holidaymakers have gone home but a few of the
amusement arcades remain open. Merlin Entertainments, the owner
of this Minehead establishment, is the largest operator of amusement
parks and related attractions in Europe and second only to the Disney
group worldwide. Their global profits are unlikely to have been
swelled much from this outlet however, which seemed quite deserted on
an overcast November Saturday afternoon

decoration which became popular in the USA during the 1990s. How
much call there is for this in a back street in Minehead remains
unanswered

A
number of these 'fake' children adorn the kerbside outside a primary

the danger of young children running into the road and to deter them
from parking on the pavement

Priory's turret clock was installed in 1837 and is a very large,
two-train movement with 2 x 10' dials. Its performance was
notoriously variable for a number of years but is now said to be within
15 seconds per week
